Human Rights Policy

Enhancing labor rights and promoting thorough communication between the Company and its employees.

I. Preface
LASER TEK TAIWAN CO.,LTD.(hereinafter referred to as the Company)is committed to respecting human rights and creating a fair, just, and dignified working environment. We are dedicated to protecting the basic human rights of our employees, customers, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders. To achieve this, we have established a Human Rights Policy that not only complies with local laws and regulations in the regions where we operate, but also adheres to international labor and human rights standards, such as the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct(RBA), the UN Global Compact, the International Labor Office Tripartite Declaration of Principles, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Human Rights Norms For Business, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
II. Scope
The Human Rights Policy applies to all employees, customers, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders of the Company.
III. Principles
  • Fight against any form of discrimination, bullying and harassment.
  • Respecting the human rights of all individuals, the Company does not discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, political affiliation, religion, marital status, physical disability, or any other factors and provides equal employment opportunities and pay.
  • Forbid forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking.
  • Offer unrestricted freedom of association, collective bargaining, and other labor rights.
  • Ensure the safety and health of employees by providing a safe working environment and healthy working conditions.
  • Protect and respect employees' privacy rights, ensuring that personal data is collected and used in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with the local regulations of the operation locations.
  • Dedicated to environmental protection and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
IV. Implementation
  • Provide human rights training to enhance employees' awareness of human rights.
  • Establish a human rights complaint channel to address human rights complaints from stakeholders.
  • Regularly review and update the human rights policy.

Promotion and Implementation of Human Rights
Policies and Regulations In addition to formulating a human rights policy, to achieve a workplace free of discrimination and harassment and to protect all LaserTek employees from unreasonable treatment while performing their duties, LaserTek has established the 'Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention, Complaint, and Disciplinary Measures' and the 'Prevention Plan for Unlawful Infringement During Duty.' The company strictly adheres to the reporting and complaint procedures to safeguard related human rights.
Zero Discrimination & Anti-Sexual Harassment LaserTek prohibits any discriminatory behavior in the workplace based on race, color, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, political stance, religious beliefs (or any other non-job performance-related personal characteristics), and strictly forbids any deliberate, hostile, or harmful harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, etc.
Education and Training Through human rights-related education and training, we protect employee rights and enhance awareness and attention to these issues, aiming to build a safe, dignified, discrimination-free, harassment-free, respectful, inclusive, and equal-opportunity workplace culture. In 2024, LaserTek offered courses on sexual harassment prevention and workplace bullying for employees at different levels and positions. Implementation details are as follows:

Complaint Mechanism

If you experience sexual harassment or unlawful infringement, you may file a complaint through the established channels. Complaints will be handled confidentially in accordance with regulations, ensuring the privacy of all parties involved. If the investigation confirms the complaint, disciplinary action will be taken.

Workplace Unlawful Infringement Incident Handling Process
Report When an incident occurs, file a complaint through the designated channels.
Handling A complaint handling team and investigation team are formed to assist the parties involved with placement or necessary protective measures.
Notification Upon completion of the investigation, notify the parties of the results. If the complaint is substantiated, disciplinary action will be taken according to company regulations. If the incident involves criminal liability, the company may refer the case to judicial authorities.
Closure Review and improve preventive measures, and retain relevant records for at least three years.
